Join the Friends of LBA Woods for…

Friday January 11th   1-3 p.m. “Forest-bathing.” Experience the magic of shinri-yoku, the Japanese art and practice of “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing” on this meditative walk in the woods. Long-time environmental educator and state-park ranger, Kathy Jacobsen, will be your guide. This event is suitable for ages 12 and up and is limited to 15 participants. Reserve your spot by contacting Maria Ruth, Friends of LBA Woods, at mariaruthbooks@comcast.net.

Saturday, January 26: 9-10 a.m. Hour Power Walk  Enjoy a brisk walk along the newly re-connected trail east of the water tower. Meet at the main (east) parking lot in LBA Park and head into the woods from there. Everyone is welcome!

Saturday, January 26: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  Work Party  Join the Friends of LBA Woods for an invigorating session of invasive plant removal and other restoration actions. This is the perfect event for students needing last-minute service hours before the end of the quarter!
