By virtue of their size and location, the 150-acre LBA Woods in SE Olympia are well suited to become a community park.    In additional to conserving the woods and their beloved trails, there is room enough to site other recreational facilities.    The City of Olympia Parks Plan has prioritized establishing the following types of facilities:

• Rectangular Sports Fields (e.g., for soccer, football, rugby and ultimate Frisbee)
• Unleashed Dog Park
• BMX Facilities

As the below conceptual map illustrates, there is room enough here to meet a spectrum of recreational needs, all of them recognized as city priorities, all in one accessible location.
